Lab or Office Seat with Lumbar Support (Pump System)

A lab or office seat with lumbar support is designed to improve posture and reduce strain on the lower back during long periods of sitting. Some advanced models feature an adjustable lumbar support system that uses a manual or pneumatic pump.

Lumbar Support Pump – Function and Use:

The pump mechanism allows the user to inflate or deflate an air bladder located in the lower backrest area.
By pumping air, the lumbar support can be adjusted to provide more or less pressure against the user’s lower back.
This helps to maintain the natural curve of the spine, offering customisable comfort and reducing back fatigue.

Materials Used in the Support System:

Lumbar Bladder: Flexible, airtight plastic or rubber material (e.g., PVC or TPU).
Pump Mechanism: Small manual bulb pump (like a blood pressure cuff) or a mechanical dial connected to the bladder via tubing.
Tubing: Silicone or rubber, durable and flexible to allow airflow.
